Prohibits PBMs from steering patients to PBM-owned pharmacies under false, misleading or coercive circumstances and requires PBM reporting on drug rebates.

HB 2196

Keeps pharmacies from closing by banning PBMs from reimbursing pharmacies below acquisition cost for a drug and prevents PBMs from substituting the mandated CMS professional dispensing fee for drug reimbursement. 

HB 2444

Permits pharmacies to provide diagnostic testing for patients over the age of 6 for certain illnesses (strep, flu, COVID, HIV etc) and to initiate treatment and inform the patient's physician. Allows patients to choose to go to a pharmacy for a test and treatment if the patient prefers. 

SB 1545

Requires PBMs to choose between providing benefits administration OR owning and operating pharmacies. Currently PBMs own the pharmacy benefits plan AND the pharmacies, so they can steer to their own pharmacies and mark up the price of medication without impunity.
